Our 400 acre farm consists of managed hardwood timber, native pastures and grass hay meadows. We do not creep feed supplements to our calves in the pasture. Our goal has been to develop a cow herd that produces superior offspring with the resources available on our farm. Since beginning our herd in 1980, we've utilized performance data and strict culling, resulting in a herd of gentle, good milking, and problem free brood cows. At this time we maintain 45 brood cows.
Personally, we do not have the time or man power to show cattle. However, we have sold several cattle over the years that have been very competitive and promoted successfully in the show ring. Our main goal has been in developing Hereford cattle that are practical, efficient meat animals that require a minimum of time and resources.
